Departmental Awards
At the end of each term, the Charms Department recognizes students, TAs, and professors who have worked hard to make this department what it is. The following honors are awarded to those who deserve special recognition for their achievements throughout the term.
All professors in the Charms Department are allowed to create new awards as long as they run them by the Department Chair first.

Most Outstanding Charmer
- Awarded to one professor in the department who has gone above and beyond throughout the term by creating an active and interesting class.
- Nominated exclusively by students; chosen by the Department Chair.
- Prize: 500 Galleons
The Rookie Professor Award
- Awarded to a new professor in the department who puts his or her best foot forward for a great term.
- Chosen by the Department Chair.
- Prize: 200 Galleons
Merlin's Spectacular Apprentice Award
- Awarded to one Teacher Assistant in the department who continuously goes above and beyond his/her duties.
- Nominated by department professors; chosen by the Department Chair.
- Prize: 100 Galleons, 25 points
The Helping Hands Award
- Awarded to all Teacher Assistants who remain active throughout the term.
- Department professors will provide a list of their active TAs to the Department Chair at the end of the term.
Most Outstanding Charmer
- Awarded to one student who has truly shined during the term, has shown great diligence, and has demonstrated a strong interest in Charms.
- Nominated by department professors; chosen by the Department Chair.
- Prize: 100 Galleons, 50 points
