CHAR101: Basic Charms & Spells
As the first course in the Charms series, this class will introduce you to all the basics of Charmwork, including pronunciation and wand movement. You might also explore other aspects of Charms theory, including what a spell is, how to cast one, and why Charms spells are different from other spells (e.g., Transfiguration spells or Defensive spells).

Spells that may be covered in CHAR101:
- Accio – Summons an object to the caster.
- Aguamenti – Conjures a jet or fountain of clear water from the tip of the casters wand.
- Alohomora – Charm that causes a locked object to open.
- Ascendio – Lifts the caster into the air.
- Baubillious – Casts a harmless bolt of white light used for illumination or decoration.
- Colloportus – Shuts a door magically so it can’t be opened by the door knob or with Alohomora.
- Depulso – Sends the targeted object away with the caster.
- Diffindo – Cause small rips into the target; can also be used to cut skin.
- Ego Lux – Makes the target feather light.
- Episkey – Heals minor wounds.
- Factus Beatus – Makes the target cheerful and happy.
- Finite – Stops ongoing spell effects.
- Flagrate – Allows the caster to leave firey marks.
- Immobulus – Freezes any target upon contact.
- Incendio – Fires a small flame that can be used to light fireplaces, along with many other available uses.
- Locomotor – Always followed by the name of the target; moves the affected target in collaboration of the casters’ wand movements.
- Locomotor Mortis – Locks the victims legs together.
- Loquitor – Forces the target to babble uncontrollably.
- Lumos – Creates a beam of light from the casters wand.
- Mucus-Ad-Nausem – Makes the target have a head cold and runny nose.
- Nox – Counter spell to Lumos.
- Pack – Makes the users belongings automatically pack themselves.
- Periculum – Shoots red sparks from the casters wand.
- Point Me – Makes the casters’ wand act like a compass and automatically point north.
- Posuit Ingrem – Extinguishes any fire that the wand is pointed at.
- Reparo – Causes any broken object to come back together without any signs of damage.
- Rictumsempra – Gives the victim the feeling of being tickled intensely.
- Tarantallegra – Forces the victim to dance uncontrollably.
- Wingardium Leviosa – Makes an object levitate.
